Overview
Kakehashi makes software for Japanese pharmacies, led by Musubi, an electronic medication-record and patient-guidance system, now with an AI assistant that drafts records from voice; that feature is in more than 5,500 pharmacies. It also runs projects linking hospitals, pharmacies and patients, such as an AMED-funded study for outpatient cancer patients. It sells subscriptions to pharmacies. Its June 2025 Series D of about ¥14B was led by Goldman Sachs, following a ¥9.4B Series C in 2023; it also uses venture debt, which we exclude.
